Branch & Blade Song

Inspired by the legendary "Tale of Blade & Branch," this song depicts a young man with amazing swordsmanship as he travels the world, doing good deeds and fighting evil. Some say it's a biography of a prodigious swordsman of the Hoshimi family.

Who Should Use Branch & Blade Song

Ranks and notes come from each Agent's build guide on Zenless Builds.

MiyabiDisc set #1 of 4

4-pc Branch & Blade Song + 2-pc Polar Metal

Branch & Blade Song is made for Miyabi: permanent CRIT DMG and +12% CRIT Rate when the team triggers Freeze or Shatter. Pair it with 2-piece Polar Metal (+10% Ice DMG) once your CRIT Rate is covered.

Ye ShunguangDisc set #1 of 4

4-pc White Water Ballad + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

White Water Ballad is made for Ye Shunguang: +10% ATK and up to +20% CRIT Rate with permanent uptime and no upkeep. 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (CRIT DMG) is the recommended pairing, especially against low-DEF bosses.

BillyDisc set #1 of 4

4-pc Woodpecker Electro + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

The best set. Crouching Shot and Rolling Shot both count as Basic Attacks, and with frequent Dodge Counters you can easily hold at least 2 stacks. During Stun, his EX Special replaces the Dodge Counter stack.

BanyueDisc set #2 of 3

4-pc Yunkui Tales + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Use 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (+16% CRIT DMG) once his signature covers your CRIT Rate. Choose between this and Woodpecker Electro based on your substats.

HarumasaDisc set #2 of 3

4-pc Shadow Harmony + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

The optimal choice for most players: no management needed, it stacks fast early in his combos thanks to Dash Attacks, and it gives steady gains across his whole burst. Pair with 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (recommended); Woodpecker Electro, Astral Voice or Hormone Punk also work. Its CRIT Rate can be awkward alongside Cordis Germina or Nicole.

Sigrid de L'AzurDisc set #2 of 3

4-pc Puffer Electro + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Best with Dialyn, who lets Sigrid cast at least one (often two) Ultimates every Stun, keeping the 4-piece bonus up. The 2-piece can be swapped for Astral Voice, Hormone Punk or Polar Metal.

Starlight - BillyDisc set #2 of 4

4-pc Yunkui Tales + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Once your CRIT Rate is capped, 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (CRIT DMG) is a good choice. There's very little difference between it and Physical DMG sets.

YidhariDisc set #2 of 3

4-pc Yunkui Tales + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Use 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (+16% CRIT DMG) instead of Woodpecker Electro once your CRIT Rate is covered; decide based on your substats and W-Engine.

YixuanDisc set #2 of 3

4-pc Yunkui Tales + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Use 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (+16% CRIT DMG) once your CRIT Rate is covered.

BenDisc set #2 of 4

4-pc Woodpecker Electro + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

The best general option. During Stun, weave Basic Attacks in before EX Specials and Ultimates to keep the buff up. In return, you get a steady damage boost both in and out of Stun.

ManatoDisc set #2 of 4

4-pc Yunkui Tales + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

2-piece Branch & Blade Song (+16% CRIT DMG) is also very strong since Manato raises his own CRIT Rate in Molten Edge; choose between it and Woodpecker Electro based on substats.

NekomataDisc set #3 of 3

4-pc Woodpecker Electro + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

The setup for teams without Dialyn: Woodpecker Electro grants ATK when Basic Attacks, Dodge Counters or EX Specials crit, while 2-piece Branch & Blade Song adds CRIT DMG.

PyroisDisc set #3 of 4

4-pc The Sky Ablaze + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Once your CRIT Rate is covered, 2-piece Branch & Blade Song is a good choice; Chaotic Metal, Shining Aria (Ether DMG) or Astral Voice, Hormone Punk (ATK) also work.

SeedDisc set #3 of 4

4-pc Dawn's Bloom + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

2-piece Branch & Blade Song (+16% CRIT DMG) is the alternative when teammates already shred DEF (Trigger, Nicole), making PEN less effective, or when those pieces have better substats.

Zhu YuanDisc set #3 of 4

4-pc Woodpecker Electro + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

A reliable choice for CRIT DPS who stay on-field for long stretches: extra CRIT Rate and plenty of ATK under easy conditions. 2-piece Chaotic Metal can replace Branch & Blade Song.

Soldier 0 - AnbyDisc set #4 of 4

4-pc Shadow Harmony + 2-pc Branch & Blade Song

Use 2-piece Branch & Blade Song (+16% CRIT DMG) to rebalance when your W-Engine leans toward CRIT Rate. 2-piece Puffer Electro (+8% PEN Ratio) also works.
