Playstyle Overview

Vivian is an Ether Anomaly Agent who usually plays as a sub-DPS, applying Anomaly both on-field and off-field. Most of her damage comes from Abloom: when Featherbloom hits a target with an Anomaly, she deals an extra share of the original Anomaly DMG based on her Anomaly Proficiency.

Her rotation is all about feathers: EX Special Attack, Chain Attack and Ultimate grant Flight Feathers, and Fluttering Frock - Suspension turns them into Guard Feathers. Whenever a teammate uses an EX Special Attack or applies an Anomaly, she spends a Guard Feather to fire Featherbloom. Build Anomaly Proficiency. The catch: she depends on how well your Anomaly teammates are built, and she needs Perfect Assists.

The F2P pick and her best option after the signature: ATK% and a lot of Anomaly Proficiency at full stacks, which you'll hit often in her teams. Looking at full-team damage, it gets even closer to her signature than her personal numbers suggest.

When hitting an enemy with an EX Special Attack or Assist Attack, the equipper's DMG increases by 3.5%, stacking up to 10 times and lasting for 6s. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. While off-field, the stack effect is doubled. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Upon obtaining the DMG increase effect, if the number of current stacks is greater than or equal to 5, then the equipper's Anomaly Proficiency increases by 50. This Anomaly Proficiency increase does not stack and lasts for 6s.

Anomaly Proficiency is worth far more on Vivian than on other Anomaly Agents, since her Core Passive makes Abloom damage (most of her output) scale directly with it. Pick it over ATK% almost every time; aim for 380–450+ before combat along with around 198+ Anomaly Mastery.

The most used team in Shiyu Defense. Vivian inflicts Corruption on or off-field, then you swap to Miyabi to apply another Anomaly and trigger Disorder. Much of Miyabi's damage comes from CRIT rather than Anomaly, but she still deals enough Anomaly DMG for Abloom to pay off; Yuzuha boosts buildup and Anomaly damage for both.

Nicole is the only free Agent who can activate Vivian's Additional Ability (shared Ether attribute) while also shredding DEF. Billy is the on-field DPS and helps trigger Vivian's kit while she's off-field.

Robin is the main pick since Vivian is a Mockingbird member; Knightboo or Brawlerboo are the alternatives.

In the F2P team, use Devilboo (Vivian and Nicole make two Ether Agents); Sumoboo, Knightboo and Brawlerboo also work.

Basic Attack: Feathered Strike

Press Basic to activate:

Unleashes up to four attacks in front, dealing Physical DMG and Ether DMG.

After triggering the fourth attack, enter the Noblewoman state.

With Flight Feathers available, holding Basic during the fourth attack will activate the Fluttering Frock state.

Basic Attack: Noblewoman - Waltz

Press Basic while in the Noblewoman state to activate:

Dash forward with an attack that deals Ether DMG and restores 1 Flight Feather upon hitting an enemy.

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

If a Perfect Dodge is triggered during the dash, gain 1 additional Flight Feather.

If Flight Feathers are available after the skill, enter the Fluttering Frock state, which can be canceled by holding Dodge when the skill is used.

Basic Attack: Fluttering Frock - Suspension

Press Basic while in the Fluttering Frock state to activate:

Attack an area ahead, dealing Ether DMG.

After activation, this skill consumes all Flight Feathers, and each one consumed grants 1 Guard Feather.

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

When switching characters during the Fluttering Frock state, Vivian will automatically perform Basic Attack: Fluttering Frock - Suspension.

While in the Fluttering Frock state, press Dodge to exit the state.

Basic Attack: Featherbloom

After any squad member hits a target with an EX Special Attack, Vivian will consume 1 Guard Feather to launch Basic Attack: Featherbloom against the target, dealing Ether DMG, triggering at most once per use of a skill. This effect can trigger even while Vivian is off-field.

When Basic Attack: Fluttering Frock - Suspension or Basic Attack: Featherbloom hits a target suffering any Attribute Anomaly, it will inflict Vivian's Prophecy, causing the target to take Ether DMG equal to 55% of Vivian's ATK every 0.55s. This DMG can trigger additional DMG from Attribute Anomalies. Vivian's Prophecy ends when the target is no longer suffering an Attribute Anomaly.

When entering the battlefield, Vivian gains 2 Flight Feathers.

Additional Ability: Prophetic Tears

When another character in your squad is an Anomaly character or shares the same attribute:

M2 is the best place to stop if you're spending. M1 is a very strong first Mindscape, and M6 is a massive damage boost; M4 is decent. M3 and M5 only add skill levels.

Every 4 Guard Feathers spent grant 1 Flight Feather, and targets under Vivian's Prophecy take 16% more Anomaly and Disorder DMG, which benefits the whole team.
M2
+25% Ether Anomaly Buildup Rate, Abloom's benefit from Anomaly Proficiency rises to 130%, and 15% All-Attribute RES is ignored. That's a very big damage boost.
M4
Fluttering Frock - Suspension and Featherbloom always CRIT and grant 12% ATK; she enters combat with 5 Guard Feathers. This makes on-field play more viable.

Vivian is a member of Mockingbird, skilled in gathering all kinds of intel. She's also a jack of many trades — cooking, mixology, translation, art forgery, electronics repair, and more. In the past, she apparently wandered without a home and was viewed as one who "brought disaster," almost like a living omen of bad luck. It's said she can predict incoming misfortune through her tears, though there's no scientific proof of this ability. A loyal follower of Phaethon. Ever since your original account went inactive on Inter-Knot, she's been trying to track you down — digging for clues, running intense searches across the network. However, Master, she didn't find anything... all thanks to my efforts in keeping your cybersecurity airtight. Suggestion: Until her true intentions are clear, do not reveal your identity as Phaethon. In case you've already let your identity slip, be sure to lock your doors and wear proper sleepwear before going to bed. Based on her old blog posts, she's likely to express her admiration in... overly passionate and intense ways.
