Best Yuzuha Build Guide

Written by Phạm Ngọc Bảo Châu ·

Playstyle Overview

Yuzuha is the strongest Physical Support for Anomaly teams, and often the second-best pick elsewhere. When her EX Special Attack or Ultimate lands, the squad gains Tanuki Wish: up to +1,200 ATK and +15% DMG. Her Additional Ability adds up to 20% Anomaly Buildup Rate, Anomaly DMG and Disorder DMG based on her Anomaly Mastery.

Those attacks also apply Sweet Scare, dealing damage every second in the active Agent's attribute (Flavor Match) and building Anomaly without diluting the gauge. She works mostly off-field and is easy to play. Build toward 3,000 ATK and high Anomaly Mastery. The catch: nearly every skill she has is worth levelling.

ATK 713 · Energy Regen 60%

Its Energy Regen only requires her not to be the active character (rather than off-field), making it the best for Energy economy. Its DMG and ATK buffs trigger when an EX Special Attack deals Physical DMG, which Yuzuha does easily; if the team has enough Anomaly Proficiency substats, it can even edge out her signature.
Decibel Monologue ›

While not the active character, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.6/s. When the equipper uses an EX Special Attack and deals Physical DMG, all squad members gain a buff that increases DMG dealt by 12.5% for 40s, stacking up to 2 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. At 2 stacks, characters gain an additional 10% ATK. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.

2
MetanukimorphosisS1
Metanukimorphosis

ATK 713 · Energy Regen 60%

Her signature and the most used option, best in Anomaly teams: +30 Anomaly Mastery maxes her Additional Ability (it caps around 14% without it), the squad gains +60 Anomaly Proficiency when her Aftershock hits, and it has high Energy Regen and Base ATK to reach 3,000. Outside pure Anomaly teams (Miyabi teams included), other options may be better.
Exquisitely Ingenious ›

When the equipper's EX Special Attack or Ultimate deals Physical DMG, their Anomaly Mastery increases by 30 for 40s. When the equipper's Aftershock hits an enemy, all squad members' Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60 for 40s. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.

3
Weeping CradleS1
Weeping Cradle

ATK 684 · PEN 9.6%

Her constant off-field hits keep the team-wide DMG buff up almost permanently, plus Energy Regen and PEN Ratio for her personal damage. At S1 it's on par with S5 Kaboom the Cannon; from S3 it beats Kaboom in non-Anomaly teams, and at S5 it tops the calculations, matching or edging out her signature.
Punishment ›

While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.6/s. Attacks from the equipper enhances the squad's DMG against a struck target by10% for 3s. During this period, this effect is further increased by 1.7% every 0.5s, up to a maximum additional increase of 10.2%. Repeated triggers only refreshes its duration without refreshing the DMG increase effect. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.

Kaboom the CannonS5
Kaboom the Cannon

ATK 624 · Energy Regen 50%

The best all-round Support W-Engine and her top pick outside Anomaly teams. Tanuki Kama counts as a separate unit, so together with Sugarburst Sparkles she keeps 2 ATK stacks up permanently.
Stampede Accident ›

When any friendly unit in the squad attacks and hits an enemy, all squad member’s ATK increases by 2.5%/2.8%/3.2%/2.6%/4% for 8s, stacking up to 4 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately, and each friendly unit can provide 1 stack of the buff. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.

5
Unfettered Game BallS5
Unfettered Game Ball

ATK 594 · Energy Regen 50%

A situational pick: thanks to Flavor Match, Sugarburst Sparkles can hit the enemy's weakness and raise the whole team's CRIT Rate. Rarely used in Anomaly teams, but it can be best in slot with Miyabi or Attack/Rupture carries.
Game Start! ›

Whenever the equipper's attack triggers an Attribute Counter effect, all squad members' CRIT Rate increases by 12% for 12s. Passive effects of the same name do not stack.

Always prioritize ATK until she reaches 3,000 ATK out of combat so Tanuki Wish is fully maxed; past that point, Anomaly Proficiency gives the best damage. Her Additional Ability caps at 200 Anomaly Mastery, which usually takes her signature, an Anomaly Mastery Disc 6 and 2-piece Phaethon's Melody. CRIT only competes with Proficiency in Anomaly teams without Physical Agents.

Skill Priority

  1. Core Skill
  2. ›Basic Attack
  3. ›Special Attack
  4. ›Chain Attack
  5. ›Assist
  6. ›Dodge

Level her Core Skill first since it sets how much ATK she gives the team. Basic Attack raises the buildup of Sugarburst Sparkles and her Aftershock, Special Attack extends Sweet Scare, and Chain Attack increases the Energy her Ultimate restores to teammates. Assist comes after; Dodge can basically be skipped.

Best Teams for Yuzuha

Most Used Teams Right Now

Yuzuha's most used team in both Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault by a huge margin. Yuzuha helps Miyabi meet ever-rising Anomaly thresholds to keep Disorders flowing, while Nangong Yu is the Anomaly Stunner whose different kinds of buffs complement hers.
The second most used team in both modes, following the familiar "Anomaly DPS + Nangong Yu + Yuzuha" shell; its average Deadly Assault score is even higher than the Miyabi team's.

Double Anomaly Teams

Two Anomaly Agents create plenty of Disorders while Yuzuha boosts buildup and Anomaly damage for both. Vivian usually can't build enough Anomaly to keep up with the main DPS alone, so Flavor Matching her makes Disorders much easier to sustain.
The highest average score among Yuzuha's Shiyu Defense teams. Velina is her best secondary Anomaly partner: Yuzuha's buildup bonuses produce far more Vortexes. Jane has high-value Assaults but slow buildup, so she benefits greatly.

Spook Shack Team

Yuzuha and Alice share a faction, which unlocks Miss Esme. Miyabi can be the main DPS with Alice as sub-DPS, or flip it: Alice as the main DPS with Vivian taking the sub-DPS slot.

Hypercarry Team

Sweet Scare enables Disorders even in teams with few Anomaly Agents. With Alice, Flavor Match her and give her an Anomaly Mastery Disc 6 to maximize Assault count; Nicole adds DEF shred.

Best Bangboo for Yuzuha

With Vivian (Mockingbird) in the team, use Robin; Knightboo (Yuzuha already fulfils its Support condition) and Brawlerboo are the alternatives.

With two Spook Shack members (Yuzuha plus Alice), pick Miss Esme; Bagboo, Bangvolver or Knightboo also work.

Mindscape Cinema

Which Mindscapes Are Worth It?

M2 is the best place to stop and is considered one of the strongest Mindscapes in the game. M1 is a strong stat boost (best with her signature), M6 is also very worthwhile, while M4 is only middling. Unlike many Agents, M3 and M5 also have value since Yuzuha scales noticeably with skill levels.

  • M1
Gains 30 Energy on entering combat for faster buffs, Sweet Scare targets lose 10% All-Attribute RES, and her Additional Ability's Anomaly/Disorder DMG buff rises to 130%. Needs her signature to get the most out of it.
  • M2
The squad gains +15% DMG and +15% Anomaly Buildup Rate; her EX Special Attack/Ultimate force a Chain Attack every 20s, giving more Decibels, earlier Ultimates and a near-endless supply of Sugar Points. Hard Candy Shot's cooldown is also 25% shorter.
  • M4
Her Assist Follow-Ups gain 30% DMG, 20% Anomaly Buildup and trigger a Quick Assist. Limited value since it only affects Assist Follow-Ups.
  • M6
After an Assist Follow-Up she can charge extra shells; each hit raises the squad's Disorder DMG Multiplier by 105% (up to 3 stacks). The shells' own damage is minor, but the Disorder multiplier boost is huge.

"Ugh, I'm done for!"

"Yuzuha, you failed too? ...Hold up, a 92?! Are you seriously telling me you guessed your way to that score? You're just showing off!"

"No, seriously! Luck only works if you don't overdo it. I had no reason to get such a high score on this one... I can feel it — there's no way the next test will have multiple choice!"

"Kama, you've never left my sight, but how did you swap so many things like just like that?"

"Heh heh~ Kama's got a lot of friends too! Come on out, everyone! Let me introduce them — left to right: Takenosuke, Inosuke, Hyakunosuke..."

"Those names are completely different!"

"Well... if she doesn't, the poor kingdom will collapse."

"If a kingdom can only survive by overworking the princess, then let it collapse!"

She bursts into laughter. Yes – let such a useless kingdom fall.

The girl I saw through the narrow vent shone like she'd stepped right out of a fairytale.

She was the real princess - and I was just a prisoner.

Dreams of a Fading Winter

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2

The day the TOPS executives and the Inspection Team arrived, she and Manato had just returned form school. Their airship had to circle overhead for ages, waiting for a place to land because the guests' vehicles took priority. Sweating as they hurried across the skybridge, they passed just above a throng of reporters surrounding the guests. That's when she spotted the girl. That nigh, she had a dream: it was her being swarmed by reporters, walking that same path under the bridge. And at the end of it... stood a throne, waiting just for her.

It had been a long time since she'd had a dream like that. She got up for a drink of water, replaying the words she'd overheard during the day: "A so-called expert Inspection Team, and they've got some rich girl tagging along just for show!"

"Kama, Kama!" She cracked open the window and whispered. A fuzzy little face popped up instantly from outside. "I've got a great idea. Tomorrow night... let's go do something fun."

Put Down RootsRecommended

Gain 1 additional Sugar Points when successfully parrying an enemy attack using a Defensive Assist or Basic Attack: Tanuki Cloak. When using a Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot, hold Basic to charge for up to 0.8 seconds. Releasing Basic or reaching full charge fires an extra powerful shell at the enemy. For every 0.4s charged, Yuzuha consumes 1 Sugar Point to fire an additional powerful shell, each dealing 300% of her ATK as Physical DMG.

If any powerful shell from Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot hits an enemy, all squad members' Disorder DMG Multiplier increases by 105% for 40s, an stacking up to 3 times, with each stack duration being calculated separately. In addition, if the powerful shell hits an enemy under Sweet Scare, it'll trigger 1 Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max attack.

If Yuzuha is attacked while charging, she will automatically dodge the attack and immediately unleash the max-charged attack.

The night the hearing ended, Baorong said they should celebrate Kaede getting a scholarship, so Mystics Wares closed early and the whole family went to Yum Cha Sin. During the meal, her brother called from the far-off Faunus Quarter to offer his congratulations. While Sumire and A-Wen animatedly recounted the day's events: a calico cat at school had lost her kitten, and no one could find it – until, miraculously, it cam back on its own at noon.

On the phone, her brother sighed, "A-Wen, every time I ask about your grades, you change the subject. If Dad and Yuzuha won't say anything, then I will!"

Everyone laughed – except Baorong, who just kept murmuring, "It came back, that's what matters... that it came back..."

Story

Details

Ukinmai Yuzuha, a resident of Waifei Peninsula's Failume Heights, currently attends a low-tuition company affiliated school in the city. Aside from being part of the Inter-Knot subforum Spook Shack, she's not affiliated with any other groups — though in New Eridu, such forums aren't typically seen as formal organizations, and are, instead, more like hobby clubs.

Yuzuha is the adopted daughter of Li Baorong, owner of the Mystic Wares Porcelume store. Word around Failume Heights is that Baorong lost his wife and two daughters when the old capital fell. In the years that followed, he took in five children. Yuzuha is the second oldest, with an older brother, a younger brother, and two younger sisters.

The family lived on the second floor above the store, and with just two bedrooms, Yuzuha shared one with her sisters, while the boys stayed with Baorong. Now that her older brother has moved out and she mostly stays in the school dorm, the apartment feels a bit less crowded. But on weekends and holidays, Yuzuha usually returns from school to help her father at the store.

Even as a child, Yuzuha showed a surprising level of maturity. Her eloquence and cheerful nature have made her a favorite among neighbors — and a hit with the kids around Waifei Peninsula and Sailume Bay.

On the Spook Shack forum, Yuzuha goes by the username "Yuzupepper." In addition to her real-life friends Manato and Alice, she is also close with two other users known as "Night Emissary" and "Strawberry Parfait" on the forums.
