Playstyle Overview

Piper is an A-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent who deals damage and builds Assault mainly through her spinning Special Attacks. Hold Special to charge Tire Spin, keep holding EX to continue into Engine Spin, then release to finish. Her Core Passive grants up to 20 Power stacks, each raising her Physical Anomaly Buildup Rate.

With a Physical or Sons of Calydon teammate, 20 stacks give the whole squad +18% DMG. Build Anomaly Proficiency and Anomaly Mastery. Piper is cheap and very easy to play, but much of her potential is locked behind Alice's W-Engine and Yuzuha, and she drops off noticeably outside Vivian or Velina teams.

Alice's signature is her best choice, bar none: high base ATK plus ATK%, Anomaly Mastery and plenty of Physical DMG, exactly the stats Piper wants.

The equipper's Anomaly Mastery increases by 60. When inflicting Assault, the equipper's Physical DMG increases by 20% for 20s, stacking up to 2 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. When the equipper enters combat, immediately gain 2 stacks.

Jane's signature offers lots of Physical DMG, Anomaly Buildup and Anomaly Proficiency, but its value depends on how many Dodge Counters you land, favoring Agents who stay on-field. Still great, but not better than Practiced Perfection.

Upon activating a Dash Attack, gain 1 stack of Predatory Instinct. Each stack of Predatory Instinct increases the equipper’s Physical DMG by 12% for 10s, stacking up to 3 times. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s and repeated triggers reset the duration. When entering combat or triggering Perfect Dodge, gain 3 stacks of Predatory Instinct. While Predatory Instinct is at maximum stacks, the equipper’s Anomaly Buildup Rate increases by 40%.

The best free option: a big Anomaly Proficiency boost whenever the squad applies an Anomaly, plus permanent ATK%. Not on par with the options above, but a reliable alternative.

Lingering Cries ›

Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff that increases Anomaly Proficiency by 30, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.

Her signature: an ATK% main stat, and each EX Special Attack hit grants one of three random buffs (ATK, Anomaly Proficiency, Anomaly Buildup Rate), which can all be active at once. Keeping all three up permanently is the dream; otherwise it falls behind, and even at best it doesn't match the top options.

Collision Potential ›

When EX Special Attack hits an enemy, one of three possible effects is randomly triggered for 5 seconds. This effect can trigger once every 0.3s. The same types of effects cannot stack. Repeated triggers reset the duration, allowing several effects to be active at once:

Increases the equipper’s ATK by 8%, increases the equipper’s Anomaly Proficiency by 40, or increases the equipper’s Anomaly Buildup Rate by 25%.

Electro-Lip Gloss

Consistent in every situation: its ATK and DMG bonuses are almost always active. Other A-Rank W-Engines can match or beat it, but they need buff management or specific teams.

When there are enemies inflicted with Attribute Anomaly on the field, the equipper's ATK increases by 10% and they deal an additional 15% more DMG to the target.

Piper is built like a typical Anomaly Agent: Anomaly Proficiency on Disc 4 and substats for stronger Assaults, Anomaly Mastery on Disc 6 to build Anomaly quickly. On Disc 5, PEN Ratio, ATK% and Physical DMG are roughly equal.

Piper's most used team in both Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault, with a very high average score. Velina takes care of Piper's Disorder management: more Anomalies means more Vortexes, so Piper can go all-in on fast buildup. Piper can swap out during her EX Special Attack, so Remielle's long animations aren't a problem.

Her next most used team. Vivian's Ablooms trigger on EX Special Attacks, and Piper can loop her EX cheaply in two parts (Engine Spin, then Really Heavy), so she goes through Vivian's feathers faster than most Agents.

Disorder Teams

Vivian applies Corruption, then Piper follows with Assault to trigger Disorder. Yuzuha boosts the team's Anomaly damage and, being Physical, unlocks Piper's Additional Ability.

Burnice acts as a Sub-DPS applying Burn off-field, and as a fellow Sons of Calydon member she unlocks Piper's Additional Ability when Yuzuha isn't available.

Piper is the main DPS: Anby inflicts Daze and Nicole lowers DEF while grouping enemies, so Piper can freely use her EX Special Attack and Ultimate to build Physical Anomaly and Power stacks.

Best Bangboo for Piper

In teams with Vivian, Robin activates its Additional Ability thanks to a Mockingbird member; Luckyboo and Bangvolver shine with two or more Physical Agents such as Piper and Yuzuha, and Magnetiboo works in any team with an Anomaly Agent.

In the F2P team, Avocaboo handles healing (stronger with a Support like Nicole); Bagboo and Magnetiboo also work.

With enough Energy, continue holding EX after Special Attack: Tire Spin reaches maximum charge level to activate: Piper rapidly spins, unleashing powerful spinning slashes around her, dealing massive Physical DMG. Which Mindscapes Are Worth It?

M1 and M2 are the most valuable steps and work together, since M2 scales with the Power stacks whose cap M1 raises. M4 and M6 are good but not essential. M3 and M5 only add skill levels and are not counted.

M1
Spinning slashes have a 50% chance to grant an extra Power stack, and the cap rises to 30 stacks, making her Physical Anomaly Buildup Rate much easier to stack.
M2
Her downward smashes from Special Attack, EX Special Attack and Ultimate gain +10% Physical DMG, plus 1% per Power stack; she also moves faster while spinning.
M4
Whenever a squad member applies an Anomaly, Piper recovers 20 Energy (once every 30s), allowing more EX Special Attacks.
M6
Engine Spin lasts 2s longer and Power stacks last 4s longer, raising her overall damage. Nice to have but not essential.

During Special Attack: Tire Spin and EX Special Attack: Engine Spin, Piper’s movement speed increases. When using Special Attack: One Trillion Tons, EX Special Attack: Really Heavy, or Ultimate to launch a downward smash that hits an enemy, the Physical DMG dealt by the move is increased by 10%. For every stack of Power, this buff is further increased by 1%.

A bit of effort now means more rest later.

Though, it'd be even better if I didn't have to put in any effort at all — Piper stretches, pats the soft bed in her truck, and lies down.

Story

Agent Profile: Piper

Piper is a truck driver for the Sons of Calydon. Apart from driving, she's also responsible for vehicle maintenance and other related jobs.

Her tiny stature, cute voice (though she always seems half-asleep when not driving), and adorably harmless appearance (though she's a shut-in who can't be bothered to take care of her own appearance) make it hard to imagine that she would have such a crazy driving style.

Usually, by the time she drawls out, "Hold~ on~ tight~," the truck is already barreling down the road.

Rumor has it, Piper is a driver who doesn't need brakes. Though riding with her is a terrifying experience, she will always get you where you need to go safely, and in the shortest time possible. Of course, "safely" doesn't include any trauma that may be induced.

Piper has many hobbies that don't seem to match her age, such as reading newspapers, buying lottery tickets, and collecting car magazines.

Piper's biggest wish is to live each day slowly and leisurely.
